2. Is Anas Mahmoud More Important To The Cards Than We Know?

Anas Mahmoud was not able to play for the Cardinals against Grand Canyon and they felt his absence big time. Was his absence the reason for the Cards’ inability to shut down Grand Canyons’ offense?

We have talked about how well he has been playing this season and it looked as though Louisville missed his scoring and defensive ability on Saturday night.

Louisville out-rebounded the Antelopes 36-25, but didn’t have one of their usual defensive-clinics. If it wasn’t for Ray Spalding, then the Cards may have been in more trouble than they already were.

With that being said, I still don’t think that Mahmoud is their best forward, but he is crucial to this team’s success in 2016-2017.

We all saw how poor they played against Grand Canyon, therefore let’s hope that a Mahmoud return will give Louisville some momentum next week.
