3. Louisville Won The Battle Of The Blocks

You may or may not have known already, but this was a match-up between, not only the top two shot blocking teams in the ACC, but two of the best in the country. If you had the pleasure of watching the game on Saturday, you saw how well both of these teams could defend the rim.

It was definitely a defense-lover’s game to watch.

With that being said, Louisville actually won the battle of the blocks. The Cardinals finished with 12, whereas the Yellow Jackets only had 7.

Louisville is starting to turn into a very dangerous basketball team that people don’t want to play, especially when they have players like Anas Mahmoud, Ray Spalding, and Mangok Mathiang defending the rim.
