Cards in the NBA: 2018 Playoffs are Here
By Jacob Lane
The 2018 NBA playoffs will feature a handful of former Cards in the NBA, several of which have the opportunity to make a big time impact for their team.
The NBA playoffs are finally here after the 82 game season concluded last night. While the NBA typically doesn’t catch the attention of many Cardinal fans, those who don’t usually watch or are just “casual viewers” might have a new reason to keep it locked on this year. Four reasons actually.
Four Cards in the NBA will be on playoff rosters when the first round of the playoffs get underway on Saturday afternoon.
Donovan Mitchell (Utah Jazz), Terry Rozier (Boston Celtics) and Gorgui Dieng (Minnesota Timberwolves) will all have a chance to make an impact for their teams, while Chinanu Onuaku (Houston Rockets) will most likely be watching from the sidelines, but could see playing time if there were to be injuries.
We’ve recently detailed the impact that both Donovan Mitchell and Terry Rozier have had on their teams this season, while Gorgui Dieng has had a down year but still provided consistent play for the Timberwolves in limited opportunities.
Let’s take a look at each of the former Cards in the NBA’s matchup and how their squads might fare.
