Louisville Football: Projections for Cardinals in the 2018 NFL Draft
By Jacob Lane
Trevon Young – OLB
A premium has been put on big, fast, lineman who are able to get after the quarterback in a variety of ways. That’s exactly what an NFL team is going to get in former Louisville football lineman/outside rush linebacker Trevon Young. Young had a breakout junior season in a backup role back in 2016, before breaking his hip in the Music City Bowl against Texas A&M. After missing an entire season, Young came back in 2017-18 and returned back to his normal self. Teams will likely be weary of a player with an injury past as serious as Young, but the 23 year old rush linebacker showed good speed and technique at the combine, and wowed teams with his attitude and resiliency.
