Dez Fitzpatrick WR (R-So., 6-2, 202)

In his first year playing after redshirting, Fitzpatrick burst onto the scene as the second best passing option in a talented group of receivers. He set a freshman record with 9 TDs and was one yard shy of 700 in 2017. That earned the newcomer an all-ACC honorable mention. He’s not as big of a target as Smith but he runs great routes and has the best hands on the team. I have little doubt that Dez will be drafted, the question is more of when. As a redshirt sophomore, he will be eligible after this year so if the passing game is a good as we hope it is, this could be our second and final year of watching Fitzpatrick making crazy catches like he did in the spring game. Just like Greenard, if our bold prediction comes true and “Sixpatrick” becomes the first 1,000 yard Louisville receiver since Harry Douglas in ’07, the Cards could be saying goodbye to another great receiver after this season.
