Highlights: 4th College World Series appearance, best record ever, ACC Champions.

The 2017 baseball team was definitely one of the most fun teams on this list to watch. They finished with a 53-12 (23-6) record, and set a new record for ACC wins in a season. Louisville had an incredible pitching staff, and were red hot all season on the mound, in the field, and at the plate.

Brendan McKay ended his career as the most decorated college baseball player of all time, playing flawlessly on the mound, as well as being Louisville’s best offensive player.

The 2017 Cardinal Nine finished off the season in the College World series, before ultimately running out of steam. However, they were only a few wins away from vying for a higher spot on this list.

Colin Lyman, Devin Mann, Drew Ellis, Devin Hairston, Josh Stowers, and company were/ are some of the best players to ever put on a Cardinal uniform. Their play at the plate and on the field cemented Dan McDonnell is one of the best coaches in the game, and Louisville as one of college baseball’s elite programs with their 4th College World Series appearance in a decade.
