Lamar Jackson conquered 40+ records during his time at Louisville, but nothing comes close to comparing to his latest achievement.
When you think of Lamar Jackson, former Louisville Cardinal great and 2018 first round pick, you think things like first QB in NCAA history with back-to-back 3,000/1,000 yard seasons, first ACC offensive player in back-to-back years, Heisman Trophy winner, heck even 2018 ACC Male Athlete of the Year. But never would you think anything related to politics.
That may need to change…
Dan Wolken, a national writer for USA Today Sports, posted a tweet tipping off a hilarious quote from Matt Flegenhelmer of the New York Times. In that piece Flegenhelmer wrote the story of Louis Ballard, and how Lamar Jackson received a vote in the ever so controversial 2016 Presidential Election. Here’s how the story goes.
Louis Ballard, of Bardstown, Kentucky, had grown tired of his affiliated political party, and decided that instead of voting for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton to be the next President, that he would take it upon himself to find a more suitable candidate for the job. Matt Flegenheimer wrote,
"“In 2016, Mr. Ballard could not bring himself to support Mr. Trump or Hillary Clinton, choosing to write in Lamar Jackson, then the star quarterback for the University of Louisville.”"
After catching wind of this story, that had been circulating for a few days at that point,
President Jackson
, I mean Lamar Jackson, sent out a message to the people of the United States.

If proof was needed that Ballard voted to place his trust in Lamar Jackson as the next President of the United States of America, look no further.
Taking office would be a bit tricky for Jackson, who as mentioned, was the 32nd pick of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2018 NFL Draft, which should keep him rather busy for the next few months. While voting for Jackson was nothing more than a joke, especially knowing Jackson couldn’t even take office should he have pulled off the biggest upset in American/World history due to him only being 21 years old.
Jackson, who has already reported to the Baltimore Ravens training camp, would need to wait at least 14 years before officially running for President, however when and if he does, he’s certainly got a voter in me.
Shall he announce a run for President, Lamar Jackson would take a strong stance on never punting, while pardoning Kodak Black for life.
