Is this finally the year that Louisville beats Clemson? Our own, Maddie Wood, argued that it could be, but we just don’t see it.

I think Louisville will be ready for the test at this point in the season, but let’s be honest. Walking into death valley for what will likely be a night game, against a team that I think will be No.1 in the country will be no easy task.

Weirder things have happened. The Tigers dropped a shocker to Pitt at home during their national championship year in 2016, and got embarrassed at Syracuse last season.

Louisville, however, played the Tigers to the last possession in their first 3 years in the ACC, and arguably should have won both of the previous match-ups in Clemson. There will be no sneaking up on them this year.

Clemson’s defensive line is not only the best in the country, but may be one of the best in the last decade. The Tigers bring back a bevy of talent in the offensive backfield, reload at wide receiver, and have a couple of options in Kelly Bryant and freshman Trevor Lawrence at quarterback.

The Cards will come into this game with a lot of confidence, but Clemson is just too much to handle once again. And Clemson storms the field.
