NC State rocked the Cards last season, and they have a chance to be a real thorn in Louisville’s side again this year.

NC State loses Nhyeim Hines and Jaylen Samuels, their two best weapons from a season ago. However, they return Ryan Finley at Quarterback, and look to reload in 2018. Finley is a stud under center, and he will make every player around him better in his senior campaign.

The Wolfpack defense will have to find some answers along the front four. They lose Bradley Chubb and the rest of the pieces along their outstanding 2017 defensive line. Darian Roseboro will fill one of the defensive line spots, but there are question marks on their defense.

Every year, Louisville drops a game that they should win. I think this is that game this year, and it kind of buts a damper on a better than expected year.

Presley’s Prediction: Louisville 31, NC State 33

Louisville’s Record: 8-3 (6-2)

And we finally disagree. NC State lost so much talent from last years team including top 10 pick Nick Chubb, Jaylen Samuels, Nyheim Hines, and the rest of their front four. Though they bring back Ryan Finley, who should be a top 15 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, I don’t know if they have the talent there to beat Louisville. Again, you talk about the revenge factor here, and it’s very real.

Louisville gets behind early, but storms back behind a monstrous 4th quarter from Puma Pass, before winning the game on a last second field goal.

With a victory, Louisville all but clinches second place in the ACC Atlantic division.

Going 7-1 in the ACC and finishing 10-2 (you didn’t think either of us were going to pick UK over UofL right?) would be a huge achievement for this group and will finally stop all the non-sense of Bobby being on the hot seat.

Jacob’s Prediction: Louisville 27, NC State 24

Louisville’s Record: 9-2 (7-1)
