Louisville Football: Putting Together the Perfect Game Week Calendar
The wait is finally over. Every aspect of this game has now been broken down every which way possible. The countdown clock is quickly approaching 00:20:00. Louisville Football is back and it is Bama week.
You may be asking yourself how Good Time Charlie is spending his game week, or you may not but you have clicked that link so I am going to detail how to spend your days counting down to the kick-off of this Louisville Football season. This opening game and entire season has been broken down to the point of exhaustion and we are finally on the brink of kick-off. Now lets take a look at the game week Good Time Calendar.
Monday: Mondays are not fun, hardly ever am I excited for a Monday. BUT, Louisville Football is back and this is a road game week Monday and it is an absolute must to lock down on where the viewing is happening if you are not traveling to the game. Road game week Monday’s are for group text with the squad to link up schedules. There are several options here. I normally like to enjoy the road games at the home base Casa de Buenos Tiempos, but this a season opener and it is Bama. Saints is a great option as well as other local establishments around town but for this is a special occasion and the plans have been laid to watch in the underground playground belonging to Louisville Twitter elite @Boxcar_Michael. I would post pictures next week but no cameras are allowed.
Tuesday: Time to resort back to that group text with the boys @Boxcar_Michael and @8bitbojackson to discuss food. We talked about Louie’s Hot Chicken (#EatAtLouies), of course White Castle with the Louisville go to Big Red, but the winner for this occasion is pizza. To avoid you all figuring out the whereabouts of the Boxcar Man Cave and to most importantly avoid another Louisville Twitter pizza debate I will not offer up where we are ordering from.
Wednesday: Hump day has rolled around. Location is locked down and menu is nearly complete. Now it is time to talk booze. Kick off is 8:00 pm on ABC so consumption has to be planned accordingly. I am all for drinking what you like but come on guys do not go too hard on the bourbon too early. Personally I plan on pre-gaming with some Citra Ass Downs IPA’s before making that switch over to Old Forester for game time.
Thursday: If you guys are anything like me by Thursday of game week there is no office work getting done and you cannot set your phone down from scrolling the Twitter Timeline. Thursday is Troll Day. Tweet out your best trash talk and as my cargo short wearing tag team partner @LJthaFiasc0 would say #TrollTideTroll.
Friday: Speaking of cargo shorts, the day before game day is for picking out your viewing gear. For home games paying close attention to your local weatherman of choice is important but this is an away game so I am perfectly good to go with cargo shorts or jeans but the real choice is what shirt are you wearing? Your options are open here. Red, white, or black but please later on in the season do not show up to the blackout game in anything other than black Cards gear.
Saturday: You know where you are watching, you know what you are eating, you know what you are drinking, and you know what you are wearing. Now it is game day and the stage is set for a #good #time. As mentioned earlier drink reasonably so you at least remember the game. If you are anywhere other than home have Uber and/or Lyft downloaded and setup to get your drunk ass home safely. Keep Twitter open and the time line moving, there is no better day to go locally viral than a stage as big as this one. Now I want to know something from all of you. If/When Louisville wins this game how are you celebrating?
Comment below or as always find me on Twitter at @GoodTymeCharles and let me know how crazy you are getting if/when the Cards shock the college football world.
