There’s no better way to get over a bad Louisville football loss than welcoming Indiana State to Cardinal Stadium. In the first edition of the Good Time Corner we will go over how to have a good time in what should be a blowout win!

It is the most wonderful time of the year for Louisville football fans. Grills are aflame, booze are a plenty, and cargo shorts are out in troves. Tailgate SZN is back and I am excited to get back outside of Cardinal Stadium. The game is expected to be an easy win for our Cardinals so lets look at how to have a good time at these types of games.

There is no better way to get over the Alabama game than putting a good old fashioned @ss kicking on The Sycamores. There is not much to touch on game wise so lets talk tailgating. There is no better fan experience than Louisville tailgates. Walking through the lots and tunnel with C-A-R-D-S chants give me goose bumps every time.

Early forecast is calling for evening showers Saturday so dress accordingly and pack a poncho. Upon arrival it is time to link up with the squad with the beer of your choice.  I know pacing cold ones with the boys can be hard but it is a must here. I plan on keeping it light with beers and BBQ before the traditional switch to bourbon before heading into the stadium.

Kickoff is set for 7:00pm to open up the newly expanded Cardinal Stadium. The Adidas 3 Stripe Zone expansion looks amazing in photos and I cannot wait to see it in person. I also recommend getting to your seat early as the new team entrance has been hyped up for weeks now with the addition of the 2 new video boards and the rumor of a new team intro video.

One more note on the whats new front, be sure to visit the new Go Cards Rewards Program and sign up to start collecting points just for attending games. There is an app for iPhone user but Android users will need to just bookmark the website. Download the app make sure your bluetooth is on and you can receive 350 points for arriving early and staying until the end of the game!

This opening week has a special tailgate experience for us Louisville fans. All of Card Nation knows the @RedRage tailgate is always second to none. These guys go all out over at Old Cardinal Stadium for the fan base BUT for this first home game of the 2018 season Red Rage has teamed up with fine folks over at The Crunch Zone and the award winning BBQ restaurant FDKY for the holy trinity of tailgating.

As much as I enjoy a great Whopper, Dixie Loaf, or some good ol’ Hamburger Helper this free food is a much better option courtesy of FDKY. If you can please just drop some money in the fireman’s boot with all proceeds going to the Crusade for Children.
