Dominate CBA and earn contract in the NBA before start of 2019 season.

Russ Smith remains the biggest mystery in professional basketball. After averaging 61.2 points, 7 rebound, and 7 assists per game in China last year, NBA teams still seem to doubt him. Smith says that teams don’t want him because he is “hard to manage.” His game supposedly doesn’t conform to a prototypical NBA offense.

The former Louisville stand-out and national champion seems more than worthy, however, of at least making an NBA roster somewhere. He is an excellent on-ball defender, extremely quick, and versatile on the offensive end. Although he averaged over 60 points per game and even scored 81 points in a single game, he wants to prove to NBA teams that he can distribute, rebound, and create extra possessions.

It would be an absolute travesty if Smith never got a fair shot in the NBA, and it seems like if he put up the same numbers in China this year, some team would be forced to take a chance on hum.
