B. Nothing good and nothing bad, which is probably what you’ll get from CC most nights this season. He finished 5 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds – but also had 2 turnovers. He’ll need to take more shots this season as he continues to pass the ball a bit too much.. PG. Louisville Cardinals. CHRISTEN CUNNINGHAM

DARIUS PERRY. B+. His first half was kind of meh, but in the second half Perry did what he know he can do. He knocked down two threes, made a couple of nice moves to the basket and played great defense.. PG. Louisville Cardinals

SF. Louisville Cardinals. V.J. KING. C-. If it wasn’t for the box score, you’d have no idea that VJ King even played in the first half – as he scored just one point. Scoring seven straight in the second half, King made a bit more of an impact but still not what you’d expect from a guy who should be your leading scorer.

2 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal – a typical Dwayne Sutton type of night. He proves night in and night out that he belongs on the floor in big moments.. SF. Louisville Cardinals. DWAYNE SUTTON. B

STEVEN ENOCH. A. The “Enochness monster” as my guy Good Time Charlie named him this week was once again phenomenal. Though he played just 14 minutes, Enoch finished with 13 points and 4 boards, going 5-5 from the free throw line.. C. Louisville Cardinals

A+. I figured Nwora would come out and play with a mean streak tonight and that’s exactly what he did. Finishing with a career high 20 points, Nwora was the best player on the floor and it wasn’t even close. When that 3 point shot starts falling, watch out.. PF. Louisville Cardinals. JORDAN NWORA

A+. If Nwora was the best player on the floor, Williams was 1A. His all-around effort was deserving of an A grade, but finishing with 17 points on 5-7 shooting was the icing on the cake. Oh yeah, he only took 1 three pointer as well.. PF. Louisville Cardinals. MALIK WILLIAMS

Louisville Cardinals. RYAN MCMAHON. A. He shot the ball okay (2-4 from deep) but it was his six assists that stole the show. His defense was also really good.. PG

Louisville Cardinals. KHWAN FORE. B. Quickly becoming one of my favorite players, Fore was another guy who brought an A+ effort. He didn’t shoot the ball well, 1-5 from the field & 1-3 from 3, but he played great defense and did things that won’t show up in the box score.. SG

AKOY AGAU. A. Playing in his first UofL game in 1,439 days, last playing Dec. 5, 2014, Agau made an impact almost immediately off of the bench. His leadership and hard work will be a huge asset to this team throughout the season. He also scored a career high 7 points, grabbed 7 boards, all in under 10 minutes.. PF. Louisville Cardinals

Louisville Cardinals. JO GRIFFIN. B. Griffin finished with 2 points on 1-2 shooting. Glad he could get some clock.. PG

C+. Wyatt will be a walk-on who contributes down the road, but he looked a bit lost in the few minutes he played. His only recorded statistic was a turnover and missed shot.. SG. Louisville Cardinals. WYATT BATTAILE

B. The reigning three point percentage leader from 2017-18 was back on his ish tonight. Though he missed his first shot, Redding nailed his second three and got the crowd on their feet.. SG. Louisville Cardinals. JACOB REDDING

The Cards will take the floor for the second time this week on Friday when they go head-to-head with the Vermont Catamounts. I’ve been saying since the schedule was released that Vermont, a likely tournament team, would give the Cards a run for their money. Heading into the preseason NIT tournament where they will face Tennessee, Kansas or Marquette, a challenge from the Catamounts could be extremely helpful.

*Whistle* Foul on Southern. Good night folks, the refs can’t hurt you anymore.
