No. 9: VJ King Becomes A Big

It’s time for us and VJ himself to accept the fact that he’s just not the style of player recruitment and position labels have made him out to be. Thursday night he got three quick rebounds to start the game and played well in the post.

Getting aggressive out of necessity close to the basket is instinctual for any basketball player and VJ seems to hurdle his biggest criticism, timidity, when forced to play as such, down low, with aggression. Also, the 15 to 20 pounds of added muscle won’t hurt the transition and someone with a jump shot working at the 4 position is a surefire zone buster against 2-3 defenses.

Summary: VJ’s minutes mostly come at the 4 position
