No. 2: The Cards Will Get A Double Bye In The ACC Tournament

Yes. That’s means what you think it means. Louisville will end the regular season #4 in the ACC standings and thus receive a double bye. Duke is clearly on a different planet talent wise, both in the conference and nationally, and they’ll be a heavy favorite to beat us in our sole matchup with them in the regular season, on their home court .

Virginia is probably the only team that can challenge Duke for the top spot in the league. Tony Bennet ALWAYS has the Cavaliers trending upward and dictating the pace of their games with great defense, effective shooting and passing straight out of the Naismith handbook.

UNC will do what UNC always does. They’ll be good but not great. They’ll fluctuate up and down the Top 25 with some unexpected losses through the season and will be everyone’s hot pick for the final four when it comes time to pay attention to Joe Lunardi.

Then who….?

Exactly.

Summary: Louisville goes 12-6 in conference, beating out Virginia tech and/or Florida State with a heads up tie breaker win.

Prediction Confidence LevelI once couldn’t find the courage to approach a girl who was literally yelling for me to come talk to her on a nightclub dance floor in college. So yeah, that confident.
