Hound the ball in the paint

Archie Miller has been advocating all year for pushing the ball inside to perhaps its most developed and steadiest player, Senior Juwan Morgan.

Morgan makes use of his skill and experience and doesn’t let the ball stop with him as often as it might otherwise with other big men. He’s a great passer out of the post and a tenacious scorer and rebounder.

Louisville will look to limit his touches as the offense primarily runs through him. And at a very minimum they’ll need to overwhelm him in the paint to limit the inside out passing and post offense he’s proven so capable of.

Simply put, the less Morgan touches the ball the better off Louisville will be. Realistically it’ll be about minimizing his contribution as he certainly won’t be stopped entirely.

Look for Akoy Agau to play significant minutes as Morgan draws fouls on other bigs and for Agau’s experience and toughness getting leaned on to slow IU’s star player.
