C. It was a forgettable performance from CC as he was never able to get anything going. He took just three shots on the night (1/3) and had 3 turnovers compared to just 2 assists. This is the second game in a row where CC tried to take the game into his hands and began to force things a bit too much.. PG. Louisville Cardinals. CHRISTEN CUNNINGHAM

PG. Louisville Cardinals. DARIUS PERRY. B+. Playing 17 minutes off the bench, Darius Perry quietly put together a pretty good night. He finished with 7 points, shooting 3/4 from the field, and even made a huge layup in crunch time in the second half. Need more of his infectious energy off the bench.

DWAYNE SUTTON. A+. Sutton is quickly emerging as the Cards most valuable player, and once again he brought his best. He made big three’s, blocked shots, played tenacius defense, essentially what I’m saying is he played a near flawless game. He finished with 14 points and 9 rebounds.. SF. Louisville Cardinals

JORDAN NWORA. B. Nwora was phenomenal in the first half and just kind of meh in the second half. He took good shots for the most part throughout the game and made several really good plays defensively. But he also turned the ball over way too much. Need a more consistent Jordan.. PF. Louisville Cardinals

C+. He finally didn’t pick up two fouls right away! Enoch didn’t shoot the ball at all, going from 2/10 from the field, and also struggled defensively inside. Fouls weren’t an issue which was nice but far too many times Enoch backed off a guy or let him make a play at the rim to try to avoid fouling. He’s going to get better every game though so there’s no reason to worry.. C. Louisville Cardinals. STEVEN ENOCH

D. Ugh…. Not sure what to say about VJ. He put up a donut in the scoring column for the second straight game, and after playing just 12 minutes against IU he played just 8 against Lipscomb. Something is up with his confidence and I personally think it’s just a matter of time before he gets it going, but for now it’s not good.. SF. Louisville Cardinals. V.J. KING

Louisville Cardinals. MALIK WILLIAMS. A. Malik Williams is FUN when he has things going, and that’s exactly what last night was. The stretch in t he second half that ended with a dunk, block, three point shot, and another block really put the crowd over the edge, and helped seal the deal down the stretch. He finished with 10 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots. If he plays like this every game, watch out ACC.. PF

PG. Louisville Cardinals. RYAN MCMAHON. B. McMahon struggled to get his shot going against Lipscomb, who did a great job of staying on him all over the floor. Ryan finished 2/6 from the field (1/5 from 3) but did go 4/4 from the free throw line, making several big ones down the stretch.

C. Fore got the start against Lipscomb, and provided the impact we’ve gotten accustomed too. Nothing was pretty or stood out, but he was great defensively and did nothing to hurt the team on the other end. Fore played 18 minutes and finished with 2 points, 1 rebound, and 1 steal.. SG. Louisville Cardinals. KHWAN FORE

AKOY AGAU. A. Akoy did his thing. 4 rebounds in 3 minutes and provided great leadership on the bench. That’s his role and he won’t ever let us or teammates down.. PF. Louisville Cardinals

Louisville basketball’s Dwayne Sutton is a storybook tale. dark. Next

Next up will be Kent State on Saturday at the KFC Yum! Center. Kent State is another team that is no joke. They currently sit at 8-1, with a 2 point win over an extremely talented but young Vanderbilt team on the road. Senior guard Jaylin Walker is averaging 24.5 points per game, scoring 35, 25, and 22 points already respectively this season.
