Louisville football enters the early signing period with a lot of recruiting questions. We try to answer the four most pressing ones.

It is safe to say that Louisville football will have one of the most exciting, or at least eventful, recruiting periods in power five football between early signing period and the official signing period in February.

Although it has become common practice for power five programs to sign 50-75% of their classes before Christmas hits, Louisville will be without that luxury for the 2019 class.

After Bobby Petrino left, Louisville was forced to all but start from scratch. A handful of players left the Cards almost immediately following Petrino’s firing, and the vast majority of the remaining players were advised to look elsewhere, as the new staff did not feel the previous regime’s recruits were the right fit.

Now, with a blank slate, Louisville’s quickly assembling staff will be hitting the recruiting trail hard in hopes of securing a respectable class that can contribute right away.
