Will anyone sign who is not committed?

There are almost always a few signing day surprises. With Louisville’s limited time to recruit, the early signing period figures to be less hectic than what Louisville fans have become accustomed to. Still, it looks like the staff has a couple of tricks up their sleeves.

It appears that long-time Appalachian State commit Evan Conley is going to flip to the Cards on Wednesday. Conley was App State’s guy for some time. He committed to the Mountaineers in June, and remained committed until Monday. He took his official to Louisville over the weekend, and all indications are that he will sign with the Cards.

Conley has an impressive arm, and patience inside the pocket. He also does a remarkable job of rolling away from pressure, re-planting his feet, and zipping a pass downfield. He is 6’1,” which is probably the biggest knock coming out of high school, but he has a stockier build than current Louisville quarterback Malik Cunningham, who is the same height. You wouldn’t have a hard time convincing me that Conley has a shot to play right away for the Cards. Check out Conley’s highlights here.

The Cards also appear to be the favorite to land four star offensive lineman, and projected left tackle, Triston Miller. Miller is a long-time Dwayne Ledford guy who was most recently committed to Ledford at NC State. He’d be an awesome pick-up for the Cards, who are in his final three along with North Carolina and USC.

Miller is choosing his college at 8 am, but it remains unclear if he will actually sign his letter of intent. Either way, it is great to see that the Cards are in on elite talent just one day after Dwayne Ledford officially became a Card. Here is a look at Miller’s highlights.
