The Cards got their quarterback

We may look back at the 2019 class in a couple of years and see Evan Conley as the biggest pick-up. He will likely be one of the lowest rated players Satterfield signs at Louisville, and that is completely fine. Conley has all of the intangibles to be a factor in Louisville’s quarterback battle in 2019.

Conley was only rated as a three star, but that seems to be due to his small stature.

Satterfield knows what he is getting in Conley, who is seemingly a clone of his most recent protegé, Zac Thomas. Conley and Thomas are both listed as 6-1, 205 pounds, both can make quick reads, and timely throws, and both have escapability. It was clear that the App State coaching staff wanted Conley as their heir apparent, so why not bring him to Louisville to do the same thing for the Cards?

The quarterback spot is anything but locked down after last season. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Conley push for playing time in 2019.
