It is the most wonderful time of the year for Louisville basketball fans: Rivalry week. We bring you the five things Louisville must do in order to beat Kentucky.

As Christmas wraps up, many families in the state of Kentucky gather around each year to spew hatred for their rival basketball program in the annual game that galvanizes the state. The Battle of the Bluegrass will take place this Saturday at the KFC “Fun!” Center as Louisville basketball head coach Chris Mack will get his first taste of the best rivalry in college basketball.

At the beginning of the season, many believed that this game would favor the Wildcats heavily, as Mack is somewhat rebuilding the program in his first year after the Cardinals failed to make the tournament last season.

However, through the first dozen games of the season, the Cardinals appear to have a legitimate chance to pull off the win, here’s how they can do it.
