Lets take a quick look at 2020 Louisville basketball recruiting. Coach Mack and staff have already extended offers and keeping tabs on several top recruits.

Chris Mack and staff hit the ground running when they arrived on campus and landed one of the top classes in the country for 2019. Per 247 Sport’s composite rankings, Louisville basketball recruiting currently ranks 5th and should end up being a top 10 class once many recruits make their final decisions.

The 2019 class consist of composite 4 stars Aidan Igiehon (46), Samuell Williamson (47), David Johnson (73), Jaelyn Withers (86), Josh Nickelberry (101) and 3-star redshirt candidate Quin Slazinski (213).  Currently, UofL has three roster spots to fill after grad transfers Christen Cunningham, Khwan Fore, and Akoy Agau exhaust their eligibility. At this point in the season, Jordan Nwora seems to be the only player that may jump to professional basketball, which would lead to a 4th scholarship spot.

At Xavier, Chris Mack had a knack for landing a handful of 4-star recruits and finding hidden gems which contributed to the program’s sustained success. With the tradition, history, facilities, fan base, and overall UofL brand, Mack finally has the platform to land elite recruits.

Per 247 Sport’s college basketball assistant coach recruiter rankings, Luke Murray is ranked as the second-best overall recruiter in the country. Fellow assistant coach and big man guru Mike Pegues is ranked 10th on the list. With an elite recruiting staff, the Cardinals are primed to land monster classes for years to come.
