B+. CC had his worst turnover game as a Cardinal, but still couldn’t NOT be on the floor. He helped our offense find a rhythm and kept us in the game down to the very end.. PG. Louisville Cardinals. CHRISTEN CUNNINGHAM

C+. I give out C’s when I’m neutral on a player or they don’t play a lot of minutes. Khwan connected on a nice lob with CC before halftime and played his usual good on ball defense. But was kind of invisible otherwise.. SG. Louisville Cardinals. KHWAN FORE

B-. This may seem like a generous grade, but it’s more about what Dwayne didn’t do than what he did. He had 3 3’s in the game and was attacking the boards, especially the offensive glass. But when he seemed out of sync to start the game, he didn’t force it. Sutton didn’t have a great game, but he didn’t have a bad one either.. SF. Louisville Cardinals. DWAYNE SUTTON

B. Jordan drew a charge, should’ve had another that was called a block, and caught another body with a ferocious dunk. He finished the night with 13 points, but seemed to force it a bit which resulted in a few turnovers. Gotta be more consistent with his scoring and even though not all his misses were bad shots – he was a little ahead of himself. His defense continues to improve.. PF. Louisville Cardinals. JORDAN NWORA

STEVEN ENOCH. C. Steve fouled out of the game in regulation and wasn’t really effective besides a couple putbacks in the second half. Foul trouble and the fact that FSU’s guys are 50 feet tall probably didn’t help him. But the team has to do a better job of getting him involved and I’d like to see him demand the ball regardless of opponent.. C. Louisville Cardinals

C-. VJ played for one minute. And had a foul. The end. *exasperated sigh*. SF. Louisville Cardinals. V.J. KING

B. Malik was hampered by some bogus fouls, but played smart enough when he had 3 to make it to overtime. Where he then hit a couple big three’s. He’s all heart and effort but I would like to see him establish himself more inside instead of staying out on the perimeter – get inside, fouled or score, or take a couple dribbles and back the guy out for the mid-range. Possibilities are endless with his talent and aggression, just needs to put it all together.. PF. Louisville Cardinals. MALIK WILLIAMS

B. Ryan was the reason we had a 10 point lead with 10 minutes to go. But he also had a couple costly mistakes in crunch time. He did, however, do a pretty good job handling the ball and getting it up the court against pressure. Keep shooting big guy.. PG. Louisville Cardinals. RYAN MCMAHON

D. Once again, I’m sad to have to say this: Darius Perry is becoming a liability. Hopefully something clicks soon.. PG. Louisville Cardinals. DARIUS PERRY

If Coach Mack has proven anything this season, it’s that coming off a loss, his team comes out locked in next game. Hopefully the guys realize they let this one get away. If the Cards can tighten up on offense, be strong with the ball, and limit mistakes, they have the talent to compete with anyone.

We knew a young team with a new coach was going to have growing pains. This is a disappointing loss to an ACC team who plays their best at home. Florida State has only lost in Tallahassee once this year – to Duke, on a buzzer beater. This team is still learning, and still improving. On to the next. Tuesday should be fun – Go Cards.
