Virginia

Adjusted offensive efficiency: 4

Adjusted defensive efficiency: 3

Virginia seems to be the antithesis of Duke in every way, but there’s more than one way to get it done. The Cavs rank fourth in offensive efficiency, and though they are known for hogging the shot clock and making it a half court game under Tony Bennett, they do so at one of the most efficient clips in the country.

Add to that UVA’s ability to completely dominate a game and dictate the tempo from a defensive standpoint, and they are one of the last teams anyone wants to face in the postseason.

Yes, the Hoos were the favorites to win it all in 2018 and lost to a 1 seed in epic fashion. Yes, recent history indicates that they might not be able to get it done again this year. However, don’t think that Virginia won’t use last years disappointing finish as a motivator this year. It wouldn’t shock anyone if they captured their first national title.
