Louisville basketball will take on no. 3 ranked Virginia at the KFC Yum! Center. We’ve got three bold predictions.

The cold hard truth is Louisville Basketball is firmly in a slump. The Cards have backed up their collapse against Duke with a shaky win against Clemson and a rather embarrassing loss on the road at Syracuse on Wednesday.

The road doesn’t get any easier with #3 ranked Virginia Cavaliers coming to the Big Yum! on Saturday at high noon.

A loss to Virginia could further bury the Cards and truly lead to some soul searching down the stretch. BUT a win on Saturday would right the wayward ship, refocus the Cards, and reaffirm Louisville’s legitness in both the ACC and in the country. Effort will have to be at an all time premium against the Hoos and with an ugly loss in their rearview expect Mack’s Cards to be ready to go.

We’re all about crazy predictions here at BRL and I for one believe to have seen the future just a few days ago:

I firmly believed Louisville would drop a tough road contest on Wednesday, but now it’s time for the Cards to back up the latter part of my prophetic word. I firmly expect the last few days to have been a gut check for the Cards and that Chris Mack will once again gameplan the heck out of Virginia.

It’s time to get crazy. Let’s make some bold predictions for tomorrow’s packline showcase.
