Michigan

The Wolverines just feel like a team destined to match up with Louisville in a 2-7 game in the round of 32, and this is a team that the Cards shouldn’t want to deal with. Like Syracuse, Michigan has long, athletic, experienced guards who would give them nightmares.

6’5″ Sophomore guard Jordan Poole makes this team go, and his back court mate, senior Charles Matthews, is a 6’6″ match-up problem for Louisville’s undersized two guards. In the middle, junior Jon Teske is a 7’1″ gazelle who would prove much too elusive for Louisville’s bigs.

Pair this talent with John Belein’s 1-3-1 zone defense, and you have a really scary match up for this Louisville squad.
