Kentucky

It’s unlikely that these two meet in the round of 32 because Kentucky appears bound for the South region, which runs through Louisville (UofL could not play at a location where they are the host site). But, should the Cats drop a game or two to finish the season, the committee has show that they don’t mind matching the Cards and Cats in the same region.

Given that Louisville will have played North Carolina and Virginia twice already (both are likely 1 or 2 seeds), the Cards very well may end up against the team that gave them some trouble already this season. The Cats are great on-ball defenders, and they have length in the post. Not to beat a dead horse, but Louisville struggles to handle teams with length and athleticism for a full 40 minutes.

Could the Cards pull this one off? Sure. Do we want to see them try? Probably not.
