Coming off a big senior season future Louisville basketball wing Samuell Williamson continues to rack up postseason honors.

Coming off a strong AAU performance this past summer, Louisville basketball signee Samuell Williamson carried that momentum into his Senior season where he earned 5 star status by multiple national publications.

He helped lead his Texas Rockwall High Yellow Jackets team to a 30-7 regular season record and to the Texas 6A Region II District 11 semifinals in a close loss. Even though his team didn’t win districts, Williamson still earned District 11-6A MVP Honors.

On Friday Samuell Williamson completed the ‘Triple Crown’ if you will earning his 3rd post season high school all star game nomination being selected for the 2019 Jordan Brand Classic.

Back in January, Williamson realized what many kids always dream of and was selected to be a participant of the 2019 McDonald’s All American game. A game that has featured the likes of Magic, MJ, Shaq, A.I, Kobe, Vince Carter, LeBron, Melo and Zion. The McDonald’s All American Game is a fraternity and has a history of featuring the greatest talent the country has to offer that year. It wasn’t about to stop there though for Williamson.

In February, the list of honors grew as he was selected to be a part of the 2019 Allen Iverson Classic. While the Iverson Roundball Classic is only in it’s third season, it too has been successful in attracting the nation’s top talent the last 2 years. Guys like Trae Young, PJ Washington, Nassir Little, Anfernee Simons, Tyler Herro, and Moses Brown have all showcased the event.

Williamson and future Cards teammate Aidan Igiehon will be the first Cards to play in the Iverson Classic and they’ll have a chance to put their own stamp on the game.

Certainly making the rosters of both the McDonald’s All American game and the Iverson Roundball Classic are something to be truly proud of. A dream come true for just about any high-major Division 1 prospect, there’s another post season high school all star game that carries a certain clout unmatched by any other; that game is the Jordan Brand Classic.

While the McDonald’s All American game truly is the measuring stick for bragging rights and has the rich history that the Jordan Brand Classic falls just short of, the Jordan Brand classic carries a certain swagger that none of the other games quite do. It’s named after the G.O.A.T. for crying out loud.

Cardinal greats such as Montrezl Harrell and Donovan Mitchell both dominated in their performances in the Jordan Brand Regional Game, but Williamson will be on the big stage as part of the Jordan Brand National roster.

The Jordan Brand Classic attracts greatness. The biggest stars. The best of the best. Amar’e Stoudemire, Melo, LeBron, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, Lamarcus Aldridge, Durant, Derrick Rose, John Wall, Demarcus Cousins, Kemba Walker, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis. Names that Williamson grew up undoubtedly recently idolizing and molding his game after.

If you don’t know by now, you either haven’t paid attention, or you’ve been sleeping on him. Samuell Williamson is going to be the next big thing at Louisville. The kid is an unbelievable talent. He has all the nominations, all the national respect from recruiting publications and the game to prove it.
