Louisville basketball brings back a core of excellent players, and will revamp their 2020 squad with six stud freshmen in hopes of making a final four run.

Louisville basketball finished 2019 in somewhat disappointing fashion, dropping 8 out of their last 11 games. However, the Cards have reason for tremendous optimism going into the 2019-2020 season.

It’s hard to consider Chris Mack’s first season in Louisville anything but a success. Taking a team that lost four starters, and saw no significant contributions from it’s fifth, back to the NCAA tournament is no small feat. Defeating three elite eight teams and a final four squad along the way deserves some serious recognition.

Now, Mack will have the horses in the stable to run the kind of race he wants to run. And if he has any say in it, year two could be extremely successful for the Cards.

Let’s take a look at three reasons why it could be Louisville that makes a final four run this time next year.
