Haanif Cheatham

6’5,” 195 lbs

Current school: Florida Gulf Coast (previously, Marquette)

2018-19 (10 games): 13.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists

Cheatham is another guy who found himself playing for two different schools in four years. After two successful seasons at Marquette, Cheatham was granted a hardship waiver and ended up at Florida Gulf Coast. This season, amid his best season yet, he was sidelined with a season-ending shoulder injury that required surgery.

Now, with 3 (and 1/3) seasons under his belt, he will look to spend his final year at a place that could catapult him into draft consideration.

Cheatham is built like a lanky wing, a la Jordan Nwora or Samuell Williamson, and would fit perfectly in Mack’s system as a long guard who can get to the rim against elite competition. Mack knows him well too, as he had to prepare for Cheatham four times while coaching against him at Xavier.
