John Young

Offensive lineman, three-star

Louisville, KY

6’6″ 280 pounds

If you’re in the boat that Scott Satterfield and staff need a big time commitment to spark the 2020 recruiting class, than look no further than Christian Academy’s John Young.

The three-star four-star offensive lineman has been to campus several times already, sparking up a connection with offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford in the process. That connection sparked possibly the greatest recruiting picture in program history.

Young is down to his final six schools which includes Louisville, along with Georgia, Purdue, Kentucky, Ohio State, and Michigan. The offensive lineman is a BIG kid, who has played for one former Louisville football star, and will soon play for another.

He’ll be announcing his decision a week from today, which will likely be between Louisville and Kentucky. Young has connections to both schools, so this one could go either way. If he does chose Louisville, the Cards have one of their tackle spots locked up for the next three to four years. If not, Satterfield and company will go back to the drawing board when it comes to the offensive line.
