Izayah Cummings

Wide receiver, three-star

Louisville, KY

6’3″ 195 pounds

After offering Izayah Cummings in June of 2018, the Cards staff (both old & new) have been after the 6’3″ 195 receiver out of Male High School in Louisville.  According to Jody Demling, the Cards have had multiple coaches go and visit with Cummings since being hired back in December, which is a good sign considering the former staff never could figure out a way to make it to local high schools.

Already having been on Louisville’s campus multiple times for unofficial visits, including junior day, it seems that Louisville is in a really good spot to receive an official visit down the line.

On Monday morning the three star wide receiver announced his top six schools which included Louisville along with Purdue, Kentucky, Wake Forest, West Virginia, and Virginia. The Cards seem to be the heavy favorite to land Cummings, but still have some work to do.

What would the Male high school star bring to Louisville? His high school coach told the Courier Journal back in September:

"“You don’t find many 6-3, 20 pound kids that have hands like that and ball skills like that. In the state of Kentucky, they don’t grow on trees. He’s pretty special.”"
