5- Does Satterfield have the running backs he needs to establish his run-heavy scheme?

Looking at Louisville’s current running backs on scholarship, I think the easy answer is yes:

  • Javian Hawkins 5’9 179 RS Freshman
  • Hassan Hall 6’0 186 Sophomore
  • Aidan Robbins 6’3 225 Freshman
  • Dae Williams 6’2 232 RS Junior
  • Tobias Little 6’0 240 RS Junior

Louisville has a solid mix of just about any type of back that you would want. A shifty speedster in Javian Hawkins, a super talented do-it-all back in Hassan Hall, big bruisers like Aidan Robbins and Dae Williams, and a solid blocker/goal line back in Tobias Little (assuming he’s healthy).

I think there’s a lot to work with here for the Cards offense in terms of understanding the scheme and the wants/needs of Satterfield’s offense. We all know he likes to run the ball, and I think he has several legit running backs that he can play against just about anybody. Which is going to be huge for this offense if the offensive line can step up.
