Hassan Hall – RB

2018 statistics: 70 carries, 303 yards, 3 touchdowns

With the new offensive scheme being installed by Scott Satterfield, it may not be crazy to think that sophomore running back Hassan Hall might be the most important player on the entire Louisville roster.

After receiving a lot of hype from Bobby Petrino prior to the 2018 season due to his speed and big-play potential, Hall spent the majority of the first half of the season on the bench playing behind Trey Smith and Dae Williams.

After injuries and poor play opened the door, Hall took advantage and looked like the next star running back to come out of Louisville.

This season I expect that to go to an even new level with Hall likely to receive up to 15-20 touches per game, and potentially lead Louisville overall in carries.

Hall finished his freshman season with 70 attempts for 303 yards and three touchdowns, which isn’t necessarily setting college football on fire but was a huge positive in a rather dark Cardinals season.

Look for Satterfield to use Hall in a variety of ways and for the sophomore to take advantage each time he touches the ball. Could he be the first running back to rush for 1,000 yards since Bilal Powell in 2008? If I was a betting man, I’d say yes.
