Who will be Louisville football’s next NFL Draft selections?

With the 2019 NFL Draft underway now’s the perfect time to examine the Louisville football roster for future NFL Draft selections.
Over the last five years, Louisville football has had seven first-round picks which are the third most across all of college football in that time span and have had a total of 21 players drafted into the NFL.
Louisville football has had at least one player drafted since 2013, a streak that is currently relying on former Cardinal wide receiver Jaylen Smith to stay alive. While there wasn’t much hope of having a ton of players drafted in the 2019 NFL Draft there should be hope moving forward that the Cards will continue to be a school known for developing legit talent for the next level.
With Scott Satterfield taking over, it’ll be up to him and his staff to not only develop the talent on the current roster but continue to recruit players who are capable of one-day becoming stars at the next level like Bobby Petrino and Charlie Strong did before him.
We’ve already highlighted several players who could be breakout stars in 2019 as well as players that you should know, but with the draft taking place this weekend now is the perfect time to see where the next Louisville draft picks might come from.
While there are serious concerns about the roster as a whole for 2019, the talent at the top of the roster for Louisville is very much NFL Caliber.
