Mason King – P

RS Senior

Every year teams are looking for valuable punters to add to their roster, and sometimes it happens in the NFL Draft.

If there’s a punter in the ACC who deserves to be drafted it’s Mason King. Last season King got more run than probably any punter in recent memory for the Cards due to the offenses inability to move the football. King was literally called a Heisman Trophy contender (by Louisville fans of course) because at times it seemed like he was the only one who could do anything productive on the field.

In 2018 King punted 69 times (ranked 20th in the country) and held an average of 40.6 yards per punt, and was phenomenal when it came to pinning opponents in tough spots.

King will need to develop a bit more leg strength as his yards per punt was in the mid 80’s last season, but his accuracy and ability to keep teams pinned deep is what NFL teams are often looking for.
