Aidan Igiehon – PF/C

Player comparison: Montrezl Harrell

Maybe the easiest comparison to make out of the Super Six recruiting class is Aidan Igiehon and Montrezl Harrell.

It starts with the obvious insane physique, unparalleled motor and determination, and even their hair.

But, what’s maybe more impressive is that both guys seem to be cut from the same cloth. They both see Louisville as an opportunity to put their names on the map and dominate the competition.

Both players are known for physical low post moves and intimidating rim-rocking dunks. Like Harrell, Igiehon is a blossoming shooter who can hit fairly consistently from beyond the arc.

Where the comparisons stop is in size. Igiehon is taller than Harell and is built on a much more chiseled frame. Harrell is definitely more of a leaper and uses his athleticism to his advantage.

Where Igiehon still has room to grow is continuing to improve his shot and his rebounding ability. Much of rebounding is about the experience, timing, and will to beat out the opponent for the ball. Igiehon has the will and the motor, so one would surmise that a summer under Chris Mack and assistant Mike Pegues would give him the needed boost to step up his game in the low post.

Like Harrell, Igiehon has the chance to be an all-time great before things are said and done at Louisville.
