A versatile wing to replace Jordan Nwora

Louisville basketball already has a good mixture of talent with Jaelyn Withers and Quinn Slazinksi waiting in the “wings” entering 2020. However, the Cards will need to find a way to replace the production from Jordan Nwora as well.

Having Samuell Williamson will help to soften the blow for the Cards, but there’s no guarantee that the elite guard/ forward will be with the Cards more than one season.

Mack needs to find a versatile scoring forward who can be a go-to guy.

That’s why the Cards have been really going hard after 6’8″ power forward Jaemyn Brakefield.

Brakefield is a recruit that a lot of Cards fans know about. He is a one-and-done type of talent projected to be a future first-round pick with a ton of upside.

Much like Timberlake, this is a player that the coaching staff has basically planted their flag and said: “you’re our guy.”

Brakefield is one of the more gifted players in the class and would be an instant-impact type of guy for the Cards- a perfect replacement for Jordan Nwora, whether he leaves this year or next.
