Kyle Kuric

Career Stats: 8.3 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 0.9 APG

Kuric is a Louisville legend for a number of reasons- obviously most notably for the unreal storybook ending that he gave Freedom Hall as an underclassman. Absolutely destroying a man against Notre Dame didn’t hurt either.

However, Kuric is really an unsung hero when it comes to the success that the Cards had, particularly in his senior year.

Kuric was an unusual utility man. At 6’4,” 200 pounds, he was used often times at the four spot during Louisville’s 2013 final four run.

A 6’4″ power forward is virtually unheard of in today’s times, but Kuric was able to create a size disadvantage for the opposition. He became a real menace for opponents who had to stretch the floor on defense or try to guard a smaller, much more agile player inside.

Kuric is not necessarily underappreciated, but he is certainly underrated. He sacrificed his own gain and probably his pro prospects in the process for the sake of the team many times. In the end, that is why he makes the list.
