Louisville basketball: 5 players who could impact Jordan Nwora’s decision
Louis King – Oregon
Position ranking: 10
Overall ranking: 34
Louis King came into the 2018-19 season with a lot of acclaim as a McDonald’s All-American and likely one and done player. Injuries and inconsistency hampered his play and development early on, but towards the back half of the season and Oregon’s run in the NCAA Tournament, King began to look like a potential superstar.
He is a 6’9″ guard/ wing who gets into the lane with craftiness but has excellent form and shooting touch from the outside.
NBA execs look at a guy like King and have to be salivating. He has above average length and athleticism, yet he is able to play more like a driving and cutting guard or hang around the perimeter to get open looks.
Again, this is another player who has a game very similar to Nwora’s that it will be super important to separate himself from.
King does a lot of the things Nwora does well, but maybe with more athleticism, length, and pop to his game. Like Nwora, King will be sitting out the 5-on-5 segment of the combine so he will be looking to have strong showings elsewhere.
