Five Cardinals whose stock is rising this offseason – with possibilities of yielding big returns for Louisville football.

Ask any Louisville football fan, and you might hear similar answers all around:

There’s more talent on Louisville’s roster than a 2-10 team.

That response is one not made purely out of optimism, but fact.

Rare is an understatement for a team majorly comprised of 3 and 4-star athletes with a consistent track record of success – suddenly crashing and stumbling into a two-win season.

With an even tougher schedule slated for Louisville’s 2019 season, there is a realistic chance that the Cards still might not make a bowl game – while also showing overall improvement.

Weird, I know.

Every major rebuild requires patience. Patience from the fans, the staff, and even the players. However, every major rebuild also comes with new opportunities for players to become key roleplayers in the next chapter of Louisville’s program. Based on the effort level and overall results from last season, there are plenty of opportunities for players to have ‘breakout seasons’.

With nowhere to go but up – let’s take a look at five Cardinals that every Louisville fan should be buying stock in this offseason.
