Tight end – Gary Barnidge

Gary Barnidge was an absolute beast for the Cards from 2004-2007. Barnidge was the guy-to tight end for Bobby Petrino during his golden years at UofL.

After solid freshman and sophomore seasons, Barnidge was a staple in Louisville’s offense during their 2006 season when the Cards went to the Orange Bowl. During his Junior year he averaged 16.5 yards per catch.

In 2007, Barnidge was one of the lone bright spots for Louisville, going for 655 yards and 7 touchdowns.

He finished his career at Louisville with 1,491 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Barnidge went on to have a fantastic NFL career where he wound up having a pro bowl season in 2015 after leading the lead in touchdowns by a tight end.
