Former Louisville basketball guard Terry Rozier made his reality TV debut last evening when he appeared on one of the nation’s most popular shows.

If someone said that Terry Rozier was going to be the first Louisville basketball star to appear on a reality TV show, I would have probably believed it.

With his Scary Terry persona growing in popularity over the last few seasons and his recent comments about free agency and the Boston Celtics getting major publicity, Rozier has proven he has the personality to go Hollywood.

But if you had told me the show he’d appear on would be The Bachelorette, I would have told you to pass over what you were smoking.

Well, pass over what you were smoking, because last evening Terry Rozier made his television debut on ABC’s hit show, The Bachelorette.

This episode of The Bachelorette featured Hannah B. taking the remaining 15 guys to Newport, RI, where one lucky guy got the sacred one-on-one date.

Jed, a singer/songwriter from Nashville who apparently is a Celtics fan, was the one picked to go on the one-on-one date which was a trip to Boston. There he got to pound back beers at a local bar and shoot hoops at the Boston Celtics facility. Luckily for him, he got to rub shoulders with two Celtics stars, including Rozier and second-year pro-Jaylen Brown.

During the date, Hannah picked up some love advice from Brown (which was legit advice) while Jed made himself look like a fool for his take on the games of Brown and Rozier (sorry guys), though he did look like he had some game during one of the most uncomfortable games of 2-on-2 I’ve ever seen.

For Rozier, this is just another solid play by his team in terms of getting him out in front of people. Of course, it’s a different audience than what he is used to when it comes to playing hoops. But it’s this type of exposure that is only going to help him continue to grow into a star off the court.

With Rozier hitting free agency in less than a month, keeping his name top of mind will go a long way in helping him get the payday we all know he deserves. Whether it’s the Celtics, Pacers, Jazz, Suns, or heck maybe even the Knicks, where ever he lands, Rozier looks like he’s only going to continue growing in popularity with fans.

Maybe now, he’ll have Bachelor Nation on his side.
