Tight End

Marshon Ford

You may be wondering to yourself, “who is Marshon Ford,” and for now that’s a fair question. But in a tight end heavy offensive scheme, and a lack of depth at the position, Ford is a player you need to be watching for.

The former Ballard high school star was a walk-on for the Cards last season, but after a strong offseason, Ford was awarded a scholarship in amazing fashion.

With only Jordan Davis having college experience under his belt at the tight end position, the former walk-on could hear his number called early and often.

As a senior at Ballard, Ford caught 35 passes for 466 yards and 9 touchdowns, and in just one year in the program, he’s put on nearly 25 pounds to better prepare for the beating of college football.

With more reinforcements likely headed to Louisville at the tight end position in 2020, Ford will have one year to prove that he is capable of being an offensive threat for Scott Satterfield and the Cards.
