Jawon Pass

There isn’t a more important name on this list than Jawon Pass, who more than anyone on the entire Louisville football roster needs a fresh start.

Following a season that was one to remember for the Cards’s likely starting quarterback, Pass has a chance to rewrite his own story and be the hero for the Cards in 2019.

Entering the 2018 season, Bobby Petrino lauded the efforts of the rising redshirt Junior quarterback but went on to pull Pass from six different games, thus shattering any confidence that he has left.

Pass finished the season with under 2,000 yards passing, 54 percent completion rate, and only eight touchdowns to twelve interceptions.

Still, Pass has all of the tools to be a big-time ACC quarterback. He is physically gifted at 6’5,” 240-pounds, and he can make all of the throws- across the middle, to the sideline, from hash to hash, and deep.

The outcome of Louisville’s 2019 season could largely be predicated on Pass’s ability to put the past behind him and hit the reset button under Satterfield. If he can do that, the sky is the limit for Louisville’s leader. If not, it’s hard to see Louisville’s season being a huge success.

If there’s one guy with a lot to prove, it has to be Jawon Pass.
