Hassan Hall

Projected to be the starting running back for the 2019 Cards, Hassan Hall could be in for a huge Sophomore season.

Hall had limited playing time behind more experienced backs like Trey Smith and Dae Williams, but as the backfield depth became depleted, the speedster began to shine.

Hall had 402 yards and three scores from scrimmage on 70 carries and 12 receptions in 2018 and added 818 yards and a touchdown on kickoff returns.

Still, fans are left to think what Hall could have been like as a featured back. Luckily, they will likely have that wish fulfilled in 2019, as the coaching staff has been talking like Hall is one of the best backs on the team.

Scott Satterfield’s two featured backs last year saw 179 and 122 rushes respectively, a massive increase from Halls 70. Hall only rushed more than 10 times on four occasions last season, while Satterfield typically gives his back an average of 15-20 touches a game. At a 4.3 yards per carry clip, Hall could be on track to get near the 1,000-yard mark in 2019.

The Cards will need a 1,000 yard type season from their stud next year if they want to see improvement in the overall flow of the offense.
