Louisville football: Big Red Louie Podcast talks all things recruiting and more
By Jacob Lane
The Big Red Louie team is back for the 8th installment of the BRL Podcast, going in-depth on Louisville football recruiting and Donovan Mitchell, including insights from new guests.
It’s been quite an interesting week since the last episode of the Big Red Louie podcast dropped. Scott Satterfield landed the next great Louisville football quarterback and foundation piece in the 2020 recruiting class.
Louisville baseball pitcher Luke Smith threw the game of his life in the semi-finals of the College World Series but a national “controversy” was created out of nothing because of language that was used in the heat of the moment.
For Louisville basketball expectations continue to soar as the offseason roars on and national writers predict the Cards to be atop the way-too-early Top 25 rankings as well as predict individual success for players like Jordan Nwora.
And just when you think his star can’t shine any brighter, Donovan Mitchell and his expert marketing team takes it up a notch. Between the release of his first signature shoe, his humanitarian efforts in Salt Lake City and Louisville, and being featured in a commercial for one of the most anticipated moves of the summer – Mitchell is literally doing everything right.
Episode eight of the Big Red Louie Podcast titled “Louisville got Chubba and it’s Purdy great” is jam-packed full of great information on all things Louisville sports as well as great guests.
After bringing on BRL contributor DJ Bien-Amie last week, episode 8 features recruiting expert and Card Chronicle Deputy Editor Keith Wynne, who talked in-depth about the new Louisville football staff’s recent recruiting success, landing Chubba Purdy and what that means for the future, the rest of the 2020 class, and how the Cards will fare in 2019.
Eric Woodyard, who covers the Utah Jazz for the Deseret News, also joined the show talking about Donovan Mitchell’s meteoric rise in Utah, the team’s plans in free agency this summer, and the recent acquisition of Mike Conley, Jr.
