November 16th

This is a game that I’ve had circled since the 2019 schedule came out. Why would I be paying close attention to a team that blew the doors off Louisville last season and could do the same this year? Because I am convinced this is the last 50/50 game of the season for the Cards.

After winning nine games last season, the Wolfpack lose so much, maybe more than any team in the ACC. Gone are star QB Ryan Finley, WR’s Kelvin Harmon and Jakobi Myers, Rimington award-winning center Garrett Bradbury and two other starters up front, multiple defensive linemen and linebackers, offensive coordinator Eliah Drinkwitz, who has been tasked with replacing Scott Satterfield at App State, and finally a pretty damn good offensive line coach in Dwayne Ledford, who now mans the same position as well as the offensive coordinator title for our beloved Cards.

While this game is on the road late in the season after losing three straight games, I still think Louisville will have every chance to sneak out a victory.

Establishing the running game and taking care of the football will be of the utmost importance, and I believe the staff will preach that endlessly leading up to the game. The Cards do that and avoid giving up big plays on defense, they’ll have a shot to win in the end.

I believe they’ll do just that.

Five wins.. Holy S%#!

Prediction: Louisville 27, NC State 24

Record: 5-5
