Louisville football: Predicting the Cards offensive MVP for 2019
By Jacob Lane
Ladies and gentlemen of Cardnation. Please give a warm welcome to your 2019 (Projected) Offensive MVP…. Hassan Hall.
This was a really tough choice.
Dez Fitzpatrick is going to have a huge season and should earn All-ACC honors in some form or fashion, while Jawon Pass should be able to play quality football and improve in all areas of the passing and run game.
But when it comes to what Satterfield offenses are built on, it’s running the football, and Hassan Hall may be the most dynamic running back the Cards have had since Bilal Powell.
Hall should receiver somewhere between 175 to 235 carries, depending on how guys like Javian Hawkins, Dae Williams, Aidan Robbins, and Tobias Little come along this season as secondary ball carriers, which means that 1,000 yards should be doable.
His speed, his athleticism, his elusiveness, and a knack for playmaking will be what gets the Louisville football program back on track on offense, and it wouldn’t be shocking if he’s able to come closer to 1,200+ yards with a healthy season.
Train horns are in the near future, and hopefully, there will be a lot of them.
