Dustin Henderson | Darius Perry

The loveable Dustin is one of the show’s fan favorites because of his exuberant personality and reputation as the comic relief. Dustin is the peacekeeper of the gang and tries to relate to everyone around him.

Still, we oftentimes see Dustin wear his heart on his sleeve a little too much or make out-of-character mistakes like holding onto Dart for too long or dragging his buddies through some event of inconsequential meaning while something much more serious is unfolding.

In the same way, Darius Perry is becoming the loveable fan favorite for Louisville basketball. Though he has yet to put the pieces together for a full season, Perry has shown more than just flashes of greatness; He is legit. Now, is his third season it’s about putting all of the pieces together, limiting mistakes, and possibly leading the team as a starter.

Chris Mack preached openly about how he wants Perry to become an “everyday guy.” We’ve now seen Perry really come alive in his first two postseasons. He is a tremendously hard worker and he leaves everything on the floor. However, what concerns many is his lack of consistency during other times of the season. Like Dustin, Perry is very much the goober on the team. He leads the “bench mob,” with a towel almost always in hand and loves to have some fun.

We see you, Dust.. err.. Darius.

Now, Cards fans are hoping to see some more character development. If Perry can turn a corner, it could be the difference in Louisville making an early exit or cutting down the nets in April.
